Abstract

The family is a microcosm of society and the basic unit of social formation. Family culture is the core of social values. Modern Family contains numerous social issues. It includes the Americans’ yearn for middle-class life, multi-cultural integration and social inclusion for homosexual couples. This thesis is based on an American TV series Modern Family, which describes three different styles of American middle class family life, and briefly analyzes contemporary family culture of the United States. Modern Family is nearly a live report for American family lives. It shows us the American family cultural diversity and equality. At the same time, we also have known the moral values of American families. Through this TV series, we can have a certain understanding and thinking about American family culture.

摘要

  家庭是社会的缩影,是社会形成的基本单位。家庭文化是社会价值的核心。《摩登家庭》包含了大量的美国的社会问题，它包括美国人对美国中产阶级生活的向往，多文化的融合以及社会对同性恋群体的包容。本文以美剧《摩登家庭》为基础，描述三个风格迥异的美国中产阶级的家庭生活，简要的分析了美国现当代的家庭文化。《摩登家庭》几乎是对美国家庭生活的现场报道。从中我们了解到美国文化的多样性，平等性和道德观，让我们对美国家庭文化有了一定的认识和思考。
