Abstract

This paper is based on Ang Lee’s movie Pushing Hands which reflects the differences in cooking culture between China and America. What’s more, the paper reveals the differences of the Chinese and American cooking culture, and analyzes some important reasons for these differences. Its significance lies not only in contributing to a deep understanding of the differences between Chinese and American cultures, but also helping people to enhance the ability in different culture communication. Then they can take effective actions to avoid misunderstandings. What’s more, the paper shoes clearly that the development tendency of Chinese and America cooking culture is mutual collisions, mutual integration, learning from each other and to complementing each other.

摘要

   本文以反映中西文化为背景的影片《推手》为依托,描述中西文化在饮食方面的差异,并分析产生这些差异的原因。意义在于既有助于深刻理解中西文化中的差异,跨越文化交际障碍,又能培养人们在跨文化交际时的适应力,有效地避免交际双方由于文化差异而产生的误解,并且指出中西文化发展的趋势是相互碰撞、相互融合、相互借鉴和取长补短的。
