摘  要

在经济全球化和文化多元化的大背景下,中国与英国之间的贸易往来和文化交流不断加大。当今社会,餐桌上的对话已经成为了商业活动中的一个重要环节,同时餐桌礼仪作为商务餐桌对话中必不可少的交流方式,对两国的贸易合作和跨文化交际起着至关重要的作用。本论文通过文献研究和对比分析,从中英两国在商务中的餐桌礼仪入手,就两国的餐桌礼仪差异及产生差异的原因进行了分析。通过详细了解中英两国文化的差异,两国商务往来人员能够更好地在跨文化交际中促进两国商务的往来,共同促进两国经济的发展和文化的繁荣。本文充分展示了认识到中英两国餐桌礼仪差异对于两国文化与经济交流的重要性,如果商务谈判者能将餐桌礼仪价值充分利用起来,这将会对谈判者双方的利益发挥重大的作用。

Abstract

In the background of the economic globalization and cultural diversity, trade contact and cultural communication between China and Britain are becoming more and more frequent. In nowadays’ society, the conversation at the dinner table has become an important part in business activities. At the same time, table manner, as an essential way of communication in the business dinner table conversation, it plays an important role on bilateral trade cooperation and cross-cultural communication. Through the literature researches and comparative analysis, this essay commences from the business table manners in China and Britain, making the analysis of both the differences of table manners between the two countries and the reasons for the differences. With detailed understandings of cultural differences between China and Britain, businessmen of the two countries can better promote the business contacts between the two countries in the cross-cultural communication, accelerating the development of the bilateral economic and cultural prosperity together. This article fully shows the importance of understanding the differences of table manners between China and Britain, which is very essential to the communication of culture and economy for both countries. If the business negotiators can take full advantage of these table manners’ values, the values will play great roles in both two countries’ interests.
