摘  要

社会的快速发展和经济全球化进程的加快,使中美跨文化交际愈加频繁，人们开始对交际能力的重要性有了一定的认识。人类的交际分为语言交际和非语言交际两种。但是在人们相互交往过程中，往往只重视语言交际功能方面的特点，却没有对非语言交际在表达交流方面的重要性引起足够的重视。事实上，语言交际和非语言交际相互配合才能更好地完成交际过程。本文运用举例对比的方法对中美文化中体态语的差异进行研究对比，包括两国之间的文化背景差异，具体的肢体语言表达差异以及造成这些差异的可能性原因等等，进而对中美跨文化交际进行有益的探索。本文将基于符号学以及跨文化交流而对中美肢体语言的不同方面作出对比分析，并将对减少文化冲突和误解从而达到准确无误的沟通给予一些恰当的建议和提示。

Abstract

The rapid development of society and the speeding up of economic globalization make the intercultural communication between Chinese and American increasingly frequent. People begin to realize the significance of communicative competence to some extent. Human communication consists of verbal communication and nonverbal communication. But in the process of human communication, they often only pay attention to the function of language communication, but ignore the function of nonverbal communication on expressing. However, people should know that when language communication and nonverbal communication working together can better complete the communication process and make it more successful. And this paper applies the method to compare the body language between China and America, including differences in cultural background between the two countries, specific body language differences of expressing and the likely causes of these differences, etc., in order to found more beneficial value in the intercultural communication between Chinese and American. Based on theories of semiotics and intercultural communication, the purpose of this thesis analyzes the various elements of body language in China and America. Several suggestions and tips for intercultural communication are also given, with the goal of reducing cultural conflicts and misunderstandings, and facilitating successful communication .
