摘  要

伴随着经济全球化的逐渐实现，我国的经济发展在改革开放大浪潮的推动下已有了巨大的进步， 与世界范围内的经济合作与交流也不断增多。 因此，参与国际商务活动，开展国际商务会谈就成为我国对外发展的必然之选。而英语作为一门世界性的语言, 已经成为了各国商务活动的主要交际工具。近年来, 国际贸易的发展迅速, 不同国家间的商务会谈也愈来愈多。在国际商务会谈中, 如果从事商务活动的人员在进行商务会谈时只了解一些基本的贸易知识则不一定保证会谈能顺利进行。所以，这就需要使用恰当的语言来实现,比如说使用一些礼貌语用策略。本文从礼貌原则、委婉表达、称赞以及感谢等方面对英汉礼貌用语进行比较，通过其比较来探究国际商务会谈中英语礼貌用语的重要性及相应的语用策略。

Abstract

With the gradual implementation of the economic globalization, China's economic development has made a great progress under the large wave’s impetus of the reform and opening up, and the worldwide economic cooperation and exchanges are also growing. Therefore, participating in international business activities and carrying out international trade talk have become the inevitable choices of China's foreign developments. And the English as a world language has become the main communication tool among international business activities. In recent years, the international trade is developing rapidly, and different countries have more and more trade talks. In the international trade talks, if the person who engages in trade talks only knows some basic trade knowledge, the talk may not develop smoothly. Therefore, it will need to use the appropriate kind of language to achieve the trade talk, such as some polite pragmatic strategies. This paper compares the English and the Chinese polite languages from the politeness principles, such as euphemism, compliment and acknowledgement, and explores the importance of polite English expressions in the international trade talks and the corresponding pragmatic strategies.
