摘  要

如今，对于求职者来说，要想在社会中找到一份满意的工作越来越难，为了能够有一份满意的工作，求职者通常要通过面试，而公司人事部会根据申请者的简历和求职信来筛选参加面试的人。为了让自己能够获得面试机会，并且在面试中获得优势，写好英语求职信是非常重要的。体裁分析是语篇分析新的发展，体裁分析的目的是研究语篇的交际作用以及语用策略。然而体裁分析并不是简单的描述语言的特点，而是在一个更深层次上分析语篇。体裁分析揭示了人们在交际时需要遵循的规则以及这些规则的目的与作用，同时也解释了体裁对于构篇的作用和扮演的角色，特定的语篇结构在遣词造句上的作用。本文通过对于英语求职信的体裁分析，提出了如何写好英语求职信的策略，希望对英语求职信写作研究起到抛砖引玉的作用。

Abstract

At present, it is increasingly difficult for a job applicant to find a satisfactory job in the society. In order to find a job that they are satisfied, they must firstly win themselves a job interview. Because the personnel of the company will select the person who can have the opportunity to take an interview based on the applicants’ resume and their application letter. It is really important to write an attractive application letter in order to get the opportunity to take interview and have advantages in the interview. Genre analysis is the new development of discourse analysis and its main aim is to study the communicative purpose of the context and the strategy of using languages. Genre analysis has surpassed the simple description of language features and tries to explain context in a deeper level. It explains the rules that people should obey when they communicate with others and the purpose of these rules. At the same time, genre analysis explains what role the genre analysis plays in planning the context and what the function of special genre structure is in creating words and sentences in the context. The paper puts forward the strategies of writing good application letter. It will be useful to the study of English application letter writing.
