1.    Introduction
1.1.    Introduction of poetry in British Romanticism Period
According to the Norton Anthology of English Literature, this period lasted from “1785 to 1830” (M. H. Abrams,2006:1), beginning with the publication of Wordsworth’s Lyrical Ballads, ending with Walter Scott’s death. Greatly influenced by the Industrial Revolution and the French Revolution, romanticism radically changed the way people perceived themselves and the state of nature around them. It allowed people to break away from the constricted views of life, welcomed a new outlook on it that embraced emotion before rationality, and concentrated on an more emotional and sentimental side of humanity. Romanticists acted by intuition and inspiration, believed in democracy and humanity, and were convinced that it was possible to achieve a better world. As nature was used for their inspiration, Romantic writers idealized the old days, and celebrated the individual. Most scholars would associate Romanticism with British literature more than any other.
