摘　要

1976年，随着“女性哥特”的提出，《呼啸山庄》又多了一个新的研究角度。但是现如今有关女性哥特小说的研究在国内比较欠缺,从女性哥特小说的角度对《呼啸山庄》的研究更是寥寥无几。本文在借鉴国外和前人研究的基础上，从女性哥特小说的角度来解读《呼啸山庄》，从作品中独有的女性哥特特征来研究它的内涵和价值。本论文简单介绍了背景和论文的大致结构,对国内外对《呼啸山庄》的研究和结果进行了总体的概述。本论文的重点是就《呼啸山庄》中对传统哥特小说的继承与女性哥特小说的创新从三方面进行了解读，以及女性哥特小说与传统哥特小说的对比。本论文基于很多学者优秀的研究成果，旨在从女性哥特式的角度对《呼啸山庄》有个新的解读。

Abstract

In 1976, as the "female Gothic" proposed, Wuthering Heights has a new research perspective. However, there is few of the research on the female gothic novels at home and abroad, not to mention the study in the female gothic of Wuthering Heights. This paper is based on previous studies at home and abroad, and from the perspective of female gothic to study the unique meaning and value of Wuthering Heights. This paper gives a brief introduction and explains the background, significance and layout of this paper, and showcases a whole overview of the results of many relevant outstanding studies on Wuthering Heights and the Female Gothic at home and abroad. The most important part of this paper is to introduce Wuthering Heights, the classical Female Gothic novel, from three aspects. Furthermore, it has a comparison between the Gothic tradition and the Female Gothic. This essay bases on many persuasive articles from outstanding scholars, referring their viewpoints of the Female Gothic and some studies of characters in Wuthering Heights.

1    Introduction

1.1    Background and significance
Wuthering Heights is Emily Bronte's only novel, but it has long been one of the most popular and highly regarded novels in English literature. Set in the Victorian era of 18th-19th century Yorkshire, England, Wuthering Heights is a tragic love tale of the main characters Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, or some people regard the story as one of revenge. Although this novel was sold very poorly when it was published in 1847, today Wuthering Heights holds much promise of world literature.
