Abstract: Wuthering Heights is Emily Bronte’s greatest work which is universally acknowledged across the world. The novel revolves around the love and revenge of the protagonists. Based on psychoanalysis, the paper is intended to discuss the eternal but never tedious topic—love. It will be demonstrated in the following four parts: first, a detailed description of the extraordinary love between Heathcliff and Catherine including the sprouting of the original love and the sincerity of the mutual love; second is the endless hate which can be divided into three parts: Hindley’s taunt, Catherine’s betrayal and other’s despise; third is Heathcliff’s cruel and frenzied revenge against his contemporary generation and younger generation as well as its outcome; fourth is the resurrected human nature which also can be put into three parts: Heathcliff’s rethinking of the revenge, the ending of extrication and the descendant’s future. Through the four points, we can get the conclusion that the return of love and hate determines the fall of human nature and waking up. Meanwhile, hope always exists in the world.

摘  要：《呼啸山庄》是艾米莉•勃朗特的最伟大的著作，享誉世界。小说围绕着主人公爱与复仇这一主题展开。基于心理分析法，这篇论文试着讨论爱这个永恒但绝不沉闷的话题。它将在下面四部分中进行阐述：第一是对原始爱的萌芽和希斯克厉夫与凯瑟琳之间相互真诚的爱这两种非凡的爱的具体描述；第二是无尽的恨。它能分成三部分：辛德雷的讥讽，凯瑟琳的背叛以及其他人的鄙视；第三部分是希斯克厉夫对当代人及年轻一辈的残酷疯狂的报复及结果；第四部分则是人性的复归。这也能分成三部分：希斯克厉夫对复仇的反思，（让人）得以解脱的结局以及后代的未来。通过这四点，我们可以得到这一结论：爱与恨的复归决定了人性的堕落与苏醒，同时，希望永存于世。
