Abstract

Dan Brown is one of the famous best-selling authors in America, whose novels focus on the dispute between science and religion. He embraces real history data and people in his fictitious novels, which make the whole story efficient and gripping.
Angles and Demons, a suspense novel published in 2000, has achieved the great repercussion at home and abroad. The novel mainly tells the struggle between the Vatican Catholic Church and Illumination that is set up by some Roman scientists, which conceal a series of conflicts between science and religion. This novel shows the writer’s worries about the decline of human faith and the perspective of the omnipotence science.
The conclusion is: the relationship between science and religion is complicated and multiple, only through a correct approach can both sides develop harmoniously.

《天使与魔鬼》是丹•布朗2000年出版的悬疑小说。小说一问世就在美国乃至全世界引起了不小的反响。小说主要简述一些罗马科学家成立了一个古老神秘的组织--光照派。斗争主要在光照派与梵蒂冈天主教教廷之间展开，而其背后隐藏的是一系列科学与宗教的冲突，表达了作者对人类信仰丧失和科学万能论的担忧。
该论文通过对作品的阐释，告知读者科学与宗教具有复杂的多重关系，只有正确对待并处理好两者的关系才能促进其和谐发展。
