Abstract

 Women in love fully reveals ecofeminism, which is about the connection of feminism and ecologism.
 This thesis attempts to analyze this novel from the perspective of ecofeminism and reveal the consciousness of ecofeminism and Lawrence’s distinctive contribution to this literary theory. In the novel Women in Love, the author criticizes the oppressive patriarchal conceptual frameworks which feature the sharp split between humankind and nature, men and women, and exposes the ruthless exploration of the rich natural resources caused by industrialization. Lawrence also condemns men’s enslavement and oppression of animals and severely opposes men’s domination over women. In the meanwhile, Lawrence wants to make a great prospect in which human beings live in harmony with nature.
Apart from the first and last chapter as the introduction and conclusion, the middle chapters are the core of this paper. First of all, the paper introduces the concept of ecofeminism briefly. And then, it discusses human beings’ domination over nature and men’s control over women. Finally it puts forwards the ideal way in which Lawrence tries to save human beings. This is the ideal relationship between man and nature, and the ideal relationship between men and women.
From the above analysis, this thesis comes to the conclusion that Women in love has revealed abundant ecofeminist consciousness.

摘要

《恋爱中的女人》充分体现了生态女性主义思想，主义是由女性主义与生态学思想结合产生的。
本文准备从生态女性主义的角度来分析这部小说，探索文中所体现的生态女性思想。这部小说批判了人与自然、男性与女性的突出对立为基础的父权制世界观，暴露了工业化对丰富的自然资源的掠夺式开发并谴责人类对动物的虐待和奴役。强烈反对两性关系中男性对女性的控制，在作品中展望了一个人类与自然和谐相处的美好前景。
除却第一章和最后一章分别是引言和结语外，中间部分是本文的中心所在。首先阐述生态女性主义理论，然后讨论文中所体现的人类对自然的奴役，男性对女性的控制。最后描述的是劳伦斯试图拯救人类的理想之路，论述理想的人与自然、男性与女性之间的关系。
基于以上分析我们可以作出这样的结论:劳伦斯在《恋爱中的女人》这部小说中充分展现了他的生态女性主义意识。
