查尔斯·弗雷泽是美国一名新近崛起的作者。《冷山》是他的处女作，并且以此荣获了1997年美国国家图书奖。在这部小说中，作者深刻地描述了人与自然和土地的关系，以及人与人之间的关系。显示了人对自然的依赖、钦敬与尊重；肯定了自然在人的身体和精神发展中的功用：歌颂了人与人之间平等、协作、互相关爱的融洽关系。同时，在这部以战役作为背景的小说中，作者通过揭露战争对人的身体和精神的双重摧残表达了自身的反战思想。这种关于人与自然及人与人之间理想关系的抒发以及对于战争所持的辩驳立场与生态女性主义的有关看法均存在有明显的相同之处。本篇论文试图从生态女性主义角度对小说《冷山》进行一个全新的解读，以揭示弗雷泽作为一名男性作家所具有的生态女性意识。

Abstract

Charles Frazier is a contemporary American writer. Cold Mountain is the first novel in his writing career, which wins 1997 National Book Award. In this novel, the author describes the profound relationship among human, nature and land, as well as relationships among humans. He shows human’s dependence on nature and respect for nature, affirms the role of nature in human’s physical and spiritual development and celebrates the equal, cooperative, mutual caring and harmonious relationships among all humans. Meanwhile, in this novel whose background is the Civil War, the author expresses his anti-war attitude through revealing the ravages of war’s destructive effect on human’s body and soul. This expression of ideal relationships between man and nature, of ideal relationships among men and of his opposition to the war is consistent with the view of ecofeminism. And this paper attempts to interpret Cold Mountain through the perspective of ecofeminism to reveal Frazier’s ecofeminist awareness as a male writer.
