Abstract
This essay is from the perspective of the impact of writers’ character and life experiences on literature creation to analyze the main areas of the impact, and on the basis of which to interpret Alexandre Dumas and his work Count of Monte Cristo. By analyzing his life experience, personality and writing style of Alexandre Dumas and the hero Dantes’ speech, behavior and character, the essay aims to reveal Dumas’ meaning and sustenance on the characterization of the work so that we can achieve a deeper understanding and familiarity of Dumas’ writing style and the common character in his works.

本文从作家个性及其生活经历对文学创作的影响的角度出发，分析其影响的主要方面，并以此为根据对大仲马及其作品《基督山伯爵》进行解读。通过对大仲马生活阅历、性格和写作风格及基督山伯爵中主人公埃德蒙言语、行为、性格的分析，揭示作者大仲马对该人物塑造的寓意与寄托，以达到更深层次理解和熟悉大仲马写作风格及其笔下作品人物形象共性的目的。

 Throughout the ages, there are countless popular novels, but very few of them are outstanding works, including Count of Monte Cristo written by the French writer Alexandre Dumas, which can be said one of the most excellent one. Since its birth, it has been well loved by its readers, so the studies of the work are also detailed and comprehensive. According to relevant information, the scholars study the works mainly from two aspects: the characterization and the theme. For example, in terms of the characterization of the hero Dantes, their focus is his speech, behavior and the process of the change in its character (Luo Cuili, Liu Xiumin, 2007:134-135). Through these external features, they further implicit the underlying personality traits and psychological revelation. And in terms of the theme, the scholars have analyzed the process when the hero was imprisoned for above ten years, and then successfully escaped with slim hope and finally achieved revenge.In this process wait and revenge is the theme (Xiong Huiyu, Duan Jianfeng, 2010: 66). The last sentence in this novel “all human wisdom is summed up in two words -- Wait and Hope” has become a main entry point for scholars to study on the subject. The author Dumas was a famous popular fiction writer whose rich life experiences and distinct character laid a solid foundation on his many works.
