1.1    A Brief Introduction of the Related Background Information
At the turn of the 18th century and the 19th century, the Industrial Revolution and the French Revolution broke out in western countries which brought various changes in politics, economic and culture. It is known to us all that literature, being an important part of our life, also develops with the advancement of the society. The two main revolutions had such a strong influence on it that many writers got their inspirations and then a large number of beautiful poems or prose appeared. Romanticism as a literary movement came into being at that period of time and gradually developed as a main literary trend from the year 1798 to 1832. It proclaimed the doctrine of “liberty, equality and fraternity” which was largely welcomed by the laboring people who were heavily-exploited. The Romanticists put the spiritual and emotional life of human beings in a really important position. And as a typical representative, Charles Lamb played his own unique role.
