摘要

众所周知，习语不仅是语言的重要组成部分，也是一个民族和人类文明的瑰宝。至今为止，已经有学者从翻译、文化、认知等角度对动物习语进行了大量的研究。但是，大多数研究者倾向于笼统地研究各种动物习语，而不是详细地研究某一种动物习语，除了狗这一动物为例外。因此，本文将以Lakoff和Johnson提出的概念隐喻理论为基础，以汉语和英语中的蛇习语为研究对象，探讨它们之间的异同。在此之后，作者将进一步分析这些相似性和差异性的根本原因。本研究希望能丰富对蛇习语的研究，对跨文化学习和习语教学有一定的参考价值。
