摘  要

大学英语课堂中的沉默现象是师生、生生间的交流失败,这在一定程度上反映了学生对英语课堂不感兴趣,甚至有对抗的消极心理,严重影响了英语应用能力的培养以及大学英语教学质量的提高。本文就效益主义的观点分析和探讨大学英语课堂沉默现象。对大学生课堂沉默现象的原因分析,必须从社会文化、教育制度、教师及大学生自身等多个方面入手。文章首先探讨了效益主义的思想内涵和教师与学生的效益主义需求。然后,从教师的教育观念、课堂提问和教学方法等方面来分析大学英语课堂沉默现象并讨论相关对策。最后效益主义教育观从效益主义视角下对教育观和教育目的等方面进行探讨并对大学英语课堂教学提出了相关的启示。

Abstract

“Silence Symptom” in college English class is the communication failure between teachers and students. To some extent, it reflects that the students are not interested in class, even come across a negative psychological feeling, which seriously affects the cultivation of English application ability, as well as the improvement of the quality of college English teaching. This article is aim to analyze and discuss “Silence Symptom” in college English class in terms of utilitarianism. The cause of analyzing silence phenomenon in college English class must start from discussing the social culture, the education system, teachers, students and other aspects. This study thus will discuss from the connotation of the utilitarianism thought and the demands of utilitarianism thought first. Then it will discuss the analysis and strategies of silence phenomenon and the enlightenment of utilitarianism to education in detail.
