摘要

认知科学的发展推动着隐喻研究从修辞学更多地转向了认知语言学。作为中国古典小说的经典巨著之一，《红楼梦》中存在着大量的隐喻现象。本文以杨宪益，戴乃迭译本和霍克斯译本为语料，从概念隐喻视角深入浅出地对比分析《红楼梦》中诸多概念隐喻英译的异同，旨在表明和印证隐喻是一种人类对自然界的认知方式，而语言体现着人们的认知，因此，同一隐喻的不同译文同样可以反映中西文化异同的这一事实。
