A Tentative Analysis on the Embodiment of the Disparity of Logical Thinking in English Writing

摘要

本文分析了英语和汉语之间思维差异, 指出中国人的思维特点在于重视伦理、强调整体, 思维方式多形象思维, 然而西方的思维与中国人的思维存在较大差异, 具有线性思维的特征, 同时注重实证等。基于上述的思维差异, 本文提出了在英文写作过程中应该选择的方法策略: 树立结构意识、强调开篇观点和使用具体详实的细节。

Abstract

The paper analyzes the differences between Chinese and Western people' s thinking models. It concludes that Chinese value ethics, entity and abstract thinking pattern. British and American people, on the other hand, emphasize linear while logic thinking and positive study. Based on the analysis, the papers puts forward the strategies that Chinese students are supposed to take in the course of writing to have the perception of structure, to begin with a point, and provide specific tangible details.
