摘要

本论文主要研究了英雄主义在欧内斯特.海明威短篇小说《老人与海》中的体现。论文以作者欧内斯特.海明威的经历和《老人与海》的写作背景，以及前人对英雄主义和《老人与海》中英雄主义的研究为基础，运用罗曼罗兰真正的英雄主义理论探究英雄主义的内涵。通过探究英雄主义在桑提亚哥身上的具体体现，探究英雄主义精神对当时及现在的积极影响和它的现实意义：即使厄运降临，也应勇往直前，保持乐观态度，做真正的英雄。最后，结论面向全文，指出尽管作为像桑提亚哥一样普通的人，依然有可能成为英雄。
