Challenges to Manage Corporate Workforce Diversity—Take English Major as an Example

摘要

在经济全球化的浪潮中,各种各样的雇员进入了自由的劳动力市场,国内各企业劳动力普遍呈现出多元化趋势。雇员在年龄,性别,技能,价值观等方面的多样化趋势明显。多元化的劳动力给企业注入了新鲜的价值观,带来了丰富的创意,创造了全新的工作环境,丰富了企业结构。但在劳动力多元化带来优势的同时,也带来了大量的挑战。如何管理好多元化的劳动力以获得企业的最大效益是企业管理人员面临的最大挑战。本文将采用文献研究法,定性研究法,个案研究法等来研究劳动力多元化的具体表现形式,产生的背景,带来的挑战。此外,本文还将探讨英语专业的学生在多元化的趋势下所面临的就业方面的挑战。通过此次研究,全方面了解劳动力多元化,对当代企业在高效管理多元化的劳动力方面与大学生正确看待就业方面有一定启示。

Abstract

In the tide of economic globalization, diversified workforce entering into freedom markets, the trend of workforce diversity is becoming more and more common. Employees are diversified in terms of ages, genders, skills and values. Diversified workforces provide companies with fresh idea, creativity and multiply solution to problems. Despite those benefits brought by diversified workforce, people cannot ignore a large number of challenges. Corporate human resource managers are facing a new series problems related with diversified workforce which is how to achieve the maximum benefits via managing employees properly. The main research methods of this paper are documentation approach, qualitative research approach and case study approach. The paper discusses workforce diversity from four aspects: forms, backgrounds, challenges and measures. In addition, the paper will take English major as an example to study the challenges they face under the diversified atmosphere. The aim is to clearly and fully explain workforce diversity from several aspects. The paper inspires corporate managers to manage diversified workforce effectively and enlightens English majors on their employment.
