摘要

汉译英过程中，正确将汉语形式上的并列句译成英语十分重要。现实情况是，将汉语形式上的并列句错误译成英语并列句的现象极为常见，并且该问题没有得到应有的关注。本文针对汉译英过程中的这一现象，论述了错误使用英语并列句所造成的译文与原文的区别，着重讨论了译文在表达焦点和侧重点与原文的区别。文章接着就如何避免错误使用英语并列句提出了翻译建议和方法。具体来说，汉译英过程中，汉语形式上的并列句许多情况下可以采用英语中的过去分词，现在分词，同位语，介词短语，独立主格结构和从句等方式来正确翻译原文的意义。本研究对于英语学习者正确认识汉语形式上的并列句，并正确加以译成英语具有很大帮助。
