摘要

本文从文化角度出发，以中英数字习语为研究对象，用对比研究的方法，对中英数字习语进行对比分析，旨在找出中英数字习语存在差异的原因。研究发现，不同社会环境及文化背景，即不同的宗教、历史、地理环境使得人们的人生观、价值观、世界观以及其它种种生活习惯都存在着差异，这种差异进而变成了一种文化特色，也导致了中英习语的差异，而习语就是特殊的代表形式。对于语言学习者来说，深入了解不同文化存在差异的原因，能使得他们对两种文化的认识更为深刻。
