摘要

辜鸿铭将《论语》以适应西方读者思维习惯的方式推介出去，因此在西方广为传播；但这种归化的翻译策略在一定程度上也损害了其原有的文化内涵，因而为国内部分学者所诟病。生态翻译学是一种新的综观翻译的研究范式，对翻译现象有强大的解释力。本文尝试在生态翻译学的指导下，分析辜鸿铭是否多维度地适应了其所处的翻译生态环境、所选择的翻译方法是否做到了三维转换（语言维、文化维和交际维），藉此对辜译本作出更公正的评价，为当代的典籍英译提供一些启示。
