摘要

文物是人类文化的珍贵遗产。湖北省博物馆作为本省规模最大、藏品最为丰富、科研实力最强的国家级综合性博物馆。其馆内藏品以出土文物为主，既有浓郁、鲜明的地方色彩，又具有时代特征，基本反映着湖北地区古代文化的面貌，具有极强的文化教育功能。近年来随着我国综合国力的不断提升，国际影响力的不断增强，中国文化对海外各国游客的吸引力也不断增强，因此中国也成为了外国游客参观游览的绝佳选择。在此背景下，如何在游客参观游览的过程中，使其通过阅读译文文本，准确领会文物信息，展现中华文化，展示大国形象也成了关键任务。文物翻译的过程实际上也是一种文化展示和宣传的过程，一旦译文中出现错译，缺译等现象，势必会影响文化的传播交流。本文以纽马克的交际翻译理论为指导，以湖北省博物馆内的文物翻译材料为依据，分析当前湖北省博物馆中的文物翻译所存在的一些问题，以期提出更好的翻译策略和方法，来促进中华文化对外传播。
