关于《古文观止》中汉语成语的翻译_英语论文

On the Translation of Chinese Idioms in Gu Wen Guan Zhi

摘要

成语是汉语中最具有文化特征的构成部分，可以充分体现汉语语言体系的民族文化特征、思维方式和风俗习惯，是社会和文化的重要组成部分，体现了中华民族的智慧和语言的博大精深。因此，汉语四字成语的理解与翻译在语言和文化交流中占有极其重要的作用。《古文观止》是历代中国散文总集，文学地位高，其中的成语大多作为经典，流传至今。本次研究主要以《古文观止》中的成语翻译为例，分析汉语四字成语的翻译现状，指出翻译汉语四字成语时存在的一些不足，并围绕这些不足提出一些解决办法；最终归纳并分析提高汉语四字成语翻译质量应注意的问题。

Abstract

Chinese idioms, which fully reflecting the nation’s cultures, mode of thinking and social customs, are the most important part of Chinese culture. Chinese idioms are the important part in Chinese society and culture, which show the wisdom of Chinese nation and the broad and profound content of Chinese language. So the understanding and translation of four-character Chinese idioms play an important role in linguistic and cultural communication. Gu Wen Guan Zhi is a prose collection  through ages, which has a high status in literature. There are a lot of classic Chinese idioms in the book. In this research, the author is going to analyze the current situation and problems of the translation of four-character Chinese idioms. Then the author is going to come up with several methods to solve these problems. At last, he is going to conclude and analyze some important points in translating four-character Chinese idioms.
