摘  要

多媒体和网络技术的应用已经成为现代化教育的主流,它的发展和传播正改变着人类的认知环境和学习策略。元认知理论的研究对大学英语教学有着重大意义,而多媒体大学英语教学的发展和研究可以促进大学英语学习者的元认知水平,它们彼此之间相互影响,相互作用。在前人研究的基础上,本论文结合情境认知理论对多媒体大学英语教学对元认知的影响进行研究得出运用多媒体英语教学可以丰富学生的元认知知识,元认知体验和增强他们的元认知监控能力。在多媒体网络环境下加强元认知的培养也将更好的提高大学英语学习者的成绩。

Abstract

    The application of multimedia and network technology has become the mainstream of modern education, while the development and spreading of it is changing human's cognitive environment and learning strategies. Meta-cognitive theory research has great significance for college English teaching. Also, the development of multimedia college English teaching and research can promote college English learners' meta-cognitive level. They influence and interact with each other. Based on predecessors' research and the study of situated cognition theory, this paper tries to find out the influence of utilizing multimedia to assist college English teaching on meta-cognition, and we may draw a conclusion that utilizing the multimedia to assist college English teaching could enrich students’ meta-cognitive knowledge and meta-cognitive experience and improve their meta-cognitive monitoring ability. With the help of multimedia, students may build stronger meta-cognition ability. It also does a good influence to students’ English learning.
