摘  要

广告是一种商业活动,一种艺术,一种文化现象。广告意味着广泛告知,利用公共媒体告诉大众一些信息。然而广告英语代表着用英语传递信息。在竞争激烈的社会中,广告英语作为一种常见的商务交际形式,其作用在当今社会不可低估。如果你阅读了大量的英语广告就会发现它背后蕴含着深刻的文化内涵,它是反映社会文化的一面镜子。通过收集和研究对比国内外相关文章和专著等方法,本论文论述了广告英语与文化相互影响,相互制约的关系,并以实例证明不同的社会文化在广告中的体现。主要分为三部分:1.广告英语的修辞手法;2.广告英语的翻译;3.广告英语中的社会文化。由此反映广告英语与社会文化的相互交融,文化促进了广告英语的发展,而同时广告英语也宣传和体现了丰富多彩的社会文化。

Abstract

Advertising is a business, an art, an institution, and a cultural phenomenon. Advertising means widely advertised, informing the public something by the widely media publicity campaign. While advertising English means express information in English. Nowadays, in the competitive society, as a common form of business communication, the role of advertising English in today's society can not be underestimated. If you read a lot of English advertising you will find that it contains a profound cultural connotations, it is a mirror reflects different cultural of the society. By collecting, studying and contrasting the monographs and articles at home and abroad about the topic of “Advertising English”, this paper discusses the relations of mutual influence and mutual restraint between advertising English and culture. It demonstrates the manifestations of different socio-cultural in the ad and mainly investigates advertising English from three parts: 1. Rhetoric of advertising English; 2. Translation of advertising English; 3. Social cultures of advertising English. By this way, it shows advertising English and social cultures blend mutually, the culture promoted the development of advertising English, and at the same time, advertising English is also propaganda and reflect the rich and colorful social culture.

1 Introduction
This paper discusses the relationship between advertising English and the culture. Advertising is a business, an art, an institution, and a cultural phenomenon. Meanwhile, a piece of advertising has a clear purpose. Its most important function is promoting sales.
1.1 Background
Advertising means widely advertised, informing the public something by the widely media publicity campaign. While advertising English means express information in English. Nowadays, in the competitive society, as a common form of business communication, the role of advertising English in today's society can not be underestimated. In order to attract more foreign consumers, provide the excellent quality and perfect service, advertising English becomes quite important. While the advertisements are inevitably linked with the social and cultural background, which includes the nation, the language, the traditional culture and other factors.
