摘 要

随着全球化的快速增长,中国进入世界贸易组织后国际地位不断提高,对外贸易不断发展。此外,自1972年中美建交以来,两国的国际交流不断增多。因此,两国的经济交流与合作,使我们迫切需要对彼此有更多了解。而对中美隐私观的误解可能会导致商务谈判的失败。本文一共分为六个部分。第一部分首先介绍中美商务谈判的背景和意义。接着第二部分在分析其他论文和文献的基础上阐述隐私观的含义以及隐私观在国际交流和商务谈判中的影响,并且简要概括了其他影响中美商务谈判的众多因素和中美两国不同的谈判风格。第三部分本文主要介绍中国人和美国人眼中的隐私观的不同,并且从语言和非语言两方面进行对比与阐述。接着在第四部分中,本文着重分析了不同的中美隐私观对商务谈判的准备阶段,谈判过程和谈判后所造成的负面影响。此外,第五部分根据相应阶段的特点给出相应的措施。最后本文得出结论:要在互相了解中美隐私观不同的基础上才能使商务谈判更加顺利。

Abstract

After China entered the World Trade Organization and our international status continuously improved, our foreign trade has developed constantly. In addition, the relationship between China and America has established since 1972, the international communication of these two countries has grown at a rapid speed. Accordingly, with the increasingly growth of the communication and cooperation between China and America in economy, there is an urgent need for both of us to understand more about each other. Misunderstanding of the Sino-US privacy view is likely to lead to the failures in the business negotiation. This thesis is divided into six parts. The first part describes the background and significance of the Sino-US business negotiation. Then the second part gives the definition of the privacy view and tells something about the privacy in intercultural communication based on the other thesis statements. It also tells something about the business negotiation through the present of factors affecting the business negotiation and the different negotiation styles between China and America. The third part makes a contrast of the privacy view in Chinese and American’s eyes in the aspects of verbal and non-verbal. Then the fourth part of this thesis attempts to make an analysis of the failures caused by the different privacy views before, during and after the negotiation. And the fifth part gives the appropriate measures in accordance with every stage. At last, this thesis concludes that only both countries understand each other’s privacy view well can help the negotiation go on smoothly.
