摘 要

自从1965年扎德的模糊集合问世以来,全世界的学者们都对这一现象从不同角度进行了广泛的研究。模糊性是自然语言的属性。在国际商务谈判中,合理地使用模糊语言,不仅能使语言表达更自然、得体,更能有效地传载人们的思想和感情。
本文通过文献分析和分析归纳的方法,对国际商务谈判中英语模糊语进行语用分析。本文由六部分组成。第一部分首先介绍论文的背景、意义、方法和大概内容。在比较分析几个与模糊语相似的表达词汇基础上,主要介绍了模糊语的概念以及模糊语的功能,重点通过阐述语用学中的合作原则,结合示例对论文主题进行研究。最后,本文进一步阐述了模糊语在国际商务谈判中的语用功能,包括积极的和消极的。本文的研究旨在通过运用模糊语提高国际商务谈判的有效性。

Abstract

Since the theory of Fuzzy Set was proposed by Zadeh in 1965, Vagueness was studied extensively by scholars all over the world from various perspectives. Vagueness is the attribute of natural language. In the international business negotiation. By using vague language judiciously we can not only make language more natural and appropriate, but can convey people’s thoughts and feelings more efficiently.
With the research into pragmatic analysis of vagueness in English in international business negotiation by literature analysis and analytic-al inductive method, this paper mainly focuses on studying pragmatic functions of vagueness in it. The paper is composed of six parts. The introductory part is about the background, significance, methods and content of the research. On the basis of comparative analysis of some related terms of vagueness, and clarification of the definition of vagueness, the author discusses the vagueness explained by the cooperative principle. Finally the writer provides pragmatic functions of vagueness in business negotiation, both positive functions and negative functions, including creating harmonious atmosphere, achieving politeness, being self-protective, being flexible and tactful, and being rich and persuasive in information. This paper presents pragmatic analysis and practical examples, aiming to be described in more detail, and to promote the improvement of efficiency in business negotiation.

1 Introduction
In the modern society of today, International exchanges become more frequent, and foreign trade is expanding rapidly, in this time, International business negotiation has been deep into every aspect of lives, how to effectively cross cultural negotiation was referred to the agenda. Business negotiation refers to the consultation process which is about imports and exports of investment goods and technology between the Government and the Government, trade organization corporations, and private businesses.
