Abstract:
American Black English, also referred to as African American Vernacular English
(AAVE) and Ebonics, is a rule-governed variety of English spoken by some African Americans in the United States. With the constantly improvement of their political, economic and cultural status, the language used by black people has been paid more and more attention to. Recent researches show that the name of the so-called Black English is not absolutely exact, because the formation of language variants is not simply caused by the ethnic differences. The use of African American Vernacular is closely related to the social factors, such as economic status, education level and so on. Therefore, American Black English has gradually become an important social dialect rather than simply an ethnic dialect. Every race or nation has its cultural connotations, thus one thing that should be pointed out is that the culture and language of American black people are stepping into our life quietly. And learning American Black English well has become an urgent task.

摘要：
美国黑人英语又叫非裔美国英语变体或者黑人英语，它是被一些非裔美国人使用的有规则的语言变体。随着黑人政治、经济、文化地位的不断提高,黑人英语越来越受到人们的关注。近几十年来对黑人英语的进一步研究表明,黑人英语这个名字实际是不甚确切的,因为它不是单纯由民族差异而形成的语言变体,它的使用是与经济地位、教育水准等社会因素密切相关的。由此可见,近年来美国的黑人英语已逐步成为了一种重要的社会方言,而不是单纯的民族方言。我希望通过对黑人英语的探讨去了解他们的文化，了解黑人作为一个社会群体对社会的发展所做出的贡献。

1 Introduction
The United States is a blending country that consists of numerous nations and different cultures. Hence it is also referred to as the “melting pot” American Black English has been an important social dialect in the past several decades; it is a linguistic phenomenon, which has attracted a large number of scholars’ attention. We should emphasize that Ebonics, another name for American Black English, is a variation and it differs from the Standard English. The differences between American Black English and Standard English result from the activity of foreign immigrants’ gathering together instead of separating from each other. It is only recently that it has become an interesting area to linguists, an increasingly number of people are fond of learning about universal tendencies in this language. This paper explores the historical origins of Black English, and then goes on to analyze the distinctive features of American Black English, the influence it has exerted upon Standard American English from the angle of history and reality, the impact it has engendered on the traditional culture and social intercourse. Every race or nation has its cultural connotations, thus I want to discover the civilization of black people through their language to emphasize the importance of American black people.
