Abstract

America is a country of immigrants, so it has a strong ability to accept new things and new culture.

In mid twentieth century, the designated goal of American motor businessmen is to put the car as an ordinary family’s essential products so that even the blue-collar class can afford it. With the promotion of this policy, by1945, twenty-five million families have their own private cars and most of which are the middle class.

When motor vehicles come into American’s life, it forms a unique American motor culture, such as motor writing graffiti, the prosperity of motor industry, motor English, etc. The rapid evolution of these aspects exert a subtle influence on English language. The thesis is mainly emphasizes the following aspects

The rapid development of American motor culture can enlarge English language, the typical example is the spread and learning style of motor English.

The rapid development of American motor culture can affect the daily communication in English, the typical performance is the popular of writing graffiti on the vehicle body.
The rapid development of American motor culture can affect people’s life habit, through the American motor culture, probing the characteristics of American culture, as well as the tolerance of English language.

Beginning from the history of American motor industry, revealing American motor culture is a kind of simple culture that infiltrates people’s life in its development, which includes all kinds of cultural communication and has an effect of propagating American culture.

The propagation and learning of motor English can help us to master the studying skills on how to learn a language, which of course needs the penetration of motor culture.
