Abstract:

As a Chinese director who is recognized by both the mainstream Western audience and China’s domestic audience, Ang Lee is very popular in today’s global movie industry. Nowadays, Ang Lee’s movies are mainly related to the field of cultural conflict, paternal image and homosexuality, while the study of the Chinese and western cultures from the point of female image is insufficient. Female image in Lee’s movies is an important factor of Chinese and western cultural integration, so it’s necessary to analyze the image of women in Ang Lee’s movies so that readers can understand intercultural integration better.
In this thesis, the author interprets the integration of Chinese and western cultures by analyzing Lee’s movies. Comparison and exemplification are used as methods. Typical female images are selected in this thesis, such as the Mrs. Chu in Pushing Hand, three daughters of Mr. Chu in Eat Drink Man Woman, and Elinor in Sense and Sensibility.  This thesis enables readers to understand the influence, meaning and proper attitudes of the intercultural integration smoothly by interpreting the female images.

摘  要：

作为一位获得西方主流电影观众承认，又为中国本土观众所认可的华人导演，李安在当今全球电影中享有盛誉。目前，关于李安的电影研究多侧重于文化冲突，父亲形象，同性恋等领域，而通过探讨李安电影中的女性形象来研究中西方文化融合的研究，几乎是缺失的。李安电影中的女性形象是研究中西方文化融合的一个重要方面，因此有必要对李安电影中的女性形象进行分析梳理，以便更好的理解中西方文化融合。
本文通过对李安电影作品的分析，运用对比和举例的方法来分析中西方文化融合。本文选取了李安电影中的典型女性形象，如《推手》中的朱太太，《饮食男女》中老朱的三个女儿，《理智与情感》中的埃莉诺等，对她们进行分析阐述从而帮助读者更好的了解中西方文化融合的影响，意义和对待中西方文化融合的正确态度。
