摘  要

随着经济全球化的日益加剧,中国的商务实践愈加频繁。商务谈判,作为商务实践中活跃而关键的重要因素,受到了众多国人的关注。本文以英语恭维语为观察对象,在详细阐述英语恭维语在商务谈判中的重要性的同时研究了在不同文化背景,价值观,性别等因素的影响下如何适当地使用英语恭维语,借此让我方谈判人员深刻认识到英语恭维语在商务谈判中的重要性,以及能在适当的时候,以合适的方式运用恭维语来取得谈判者之间的友好感,增加谈判成功的可能性。此外,还能避免谈判陷入僵局,引起不必要的冲突,提高谈判的效率。因此,商务谈判中的适量运用英语恭维语,对提高谈判成功的机率具有极其重要的现实意义。

Abstract

With the increasing influence of economic globalization, China’s business practices take place more and more frequently. Business practice, as one of the most important and active factor in business activities, has attracted many Chinese people’s attention. In this paper, English compliment as a object of observation, it introduce the importance of English compliment in business negotiation in detail, and also studies the influence posed by some other respects like the cultural background of both parties, their values, gender and whether the negotiators can properly use compliment language and so on. It aims to make the negotiators further recognize the importance of English compliments in business negotiations and to elaborate on how to use appropriate compliment language at the appropriate time so as to increase the friendly feeling between negotiators, to avoid unnecessary disputes and to improve the efficiency of negotiations. As a result of that, the chance of successfully making a deal will be largely improved. In addition, the use of compliment words will make it easier to do business with the foreigners, especially with the American people. In this article, it adopted the incremental method. First of all, it briefly analyzes compliment use in business negotiations. It also analyzes the habit of using compliment in the United States. All in all, business people should know the importance of compliment language in the business negotiation and how to use it more properly in a suitable time and situation. This will absolutely help a lot when people are in business negotiation or do business with American people. That is the most important thing the article wants to tell.
