Abstract
By analyzing the vampire hero Edward’s attitude towards love from the perspective of Fromm’s art of loving theory, this paper endeavours to discover his eternal charm in the film series Twilight. Edward’s popularity indicates that his eternal charm consists in his firm and rational attitude toward love, his responsibility for and devotion to his mate. He will continue to live in the mind of people of different ages, reflecting the pursuit of eternal love and immortality in the heart of everyone.

 本文拟对《暮光之城》系列电影进行细读研究。通过分析该电影中吸血鬼男主人公爱德华对待爱情的态度，结合弗洛姆的关于爱的艺术理论，解读爱德华这一角色的永恒魅力，即他对爱情坚定而理性的态度，对恋人的责任感和奉献精神。他将不断地在不同时代的人们心中复活，折射出每一个人内心深处对爱情长久与生命永恒的追求。

The vampire culture plays an important role in western culture traditions. The famous novel Dracula (1897) written by Irish writer Bram Stoker is first published in the late nineteenth century. In 1976, American writer Anne Rice publishes Interview With The Vampire and got herself a big fame. In 2005, American novelist Stephenie Meyer publishes another vampire series novel Twilight. Vampire novel is like an endless stream that followed by the rise of vampire movie. Vampire is one of the most popular themes in Hollywood horror movies. Many masterpieces in film history take it as a mirror to reflect living conditions of human in modern society. Films like Dracula, Interview With The Vampire and Twilight series still catches audience’s eyes in recent years.
