Abstract
Sons and Lovers, the first of Lawrence’s important novels, is largely autobiographical. In this novel D.H. Lawrence explores the human nature and complicated relationships of human beings. This thesis focuses on several emotional relationships between men and women. By exploring the psychological activities of three women: Mrs.Morel, Miriam and Clara, and analyzing their complicated relationships with Paul, it reveals that the appurtenant subconsciousness of women does widely exist in Victorian era.
