Abstract：

As one of the influential feminist English writers in the twentieth century, Angela Carter shone in the literary circle for her brilliant, unique style in rewriting classical European fairy tales. She adapts traditional fairy tales into satirical texts by her unique imaginations. Carter subverts traditional fairy tales by reconstructing women’s real and diversified images in her adaptive fairy tales. The unique writing of Carter satirizes timid women and arrogant men in society. In Carter’s adaptive fairy tales, she uses many forms of satire, such as allusions, parody, and irony. By adapting and taking advantage of theme, content, and style in traditional fairy tales, she reflects traditional male chauvinism and marriage in patriarchal society. Furthermore, Angela Carter breaks the norm that society imposes on women and creates modern women in her fairy tales.

摘  要：

安吉拉•卡特作为20世纪英国历史上最具影响力的女性主义作家，以改写欧洲经典童话和其独创风格著称文坛。卡特用其独特的想象力把传统童话改变成充满具有讽刺意义的文本。安吉卡卡特通过重建与她改编童话相适应女性真实多样化的形象，从而颠覆了传统童话。她以独特的写作手法从而讽刺了传统童话中胆怯的女性形象和傲慢的男性形象。在卡特的改编童话中，她运用多种讽刺技巧例如典故，戏拟，反讽手法，并通过利用和改造传统童话中的主题，内容，风格，展现了对父系社会中传统大男子主义和婚姻观的讽刺。另外，安吉拉卡特打破了社会赋予女性的枷锁，在其改编童话中塑造了新的现代女性。

1 Introduction
In The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories, Angela Carter simply adapts various fairy tales, “giving the old folklore a different angle” (Clapp 2012:7). In this collection of short stories, Carter completely reimagines traditional fairy tales, for example, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and so on. So she tells her fairy tales in her particular way by “extract[ing] the latent content from the traditional stories and to use it as the beginnings of new stories” (Clapp 2012:7). That is to say, her adaptive fairy tales are based on traditional fairy tales, and she expresses her own new ideas on the basis of traditional characters or plots.
