Abstract:

 Ernest Hemingway who is the writer of “ the lost generation” and the winner of the Nobel Prize of literature, has produced many excellent works in American literary history. And The Snows of Kilimanjaro is one of them. This novel tells us what kind of life that people lived in the 20’s of the 20th century in America. They experienced the terrible war and the war had broken their home and hope. They lost their families, and the worst thing is that they felt lost, lonely and hopeless. In this novel, Hemingway described Harry and Hellen’s notions of love, but their attitudes are quiet different. So in this paper, their different attitudes to love are analyzed and the treasure of love and the exploration of women’s future are discussed.

诺贝尔文学奖得主，同时被称为是“迷惘的一代”的作家欧内斯特•海明威写出了许多几乎是美国历史上最杰出的小说作品。而《乞力马扎罗的雪》就是其中之一。这本小说反映了美国20世纪20年代的生活现状。战争毁灭了人们的家园和期望，夺走了他们的亲人。更糟糕的是战争使美国人处在迷惘和空虚孤独中。在该小说中，海明威描写的男女主人公，他们的爱情观截然不同。所以本论文就他们不同的爱情观进行分析。同时该小说中，海明威激起了读着对战争的谴责，对自由和平的向往，对妇女未来命运的探索。

1.1 Introduction
The Snows of Kilimanjaro is a very famous work, so many literary men want to make a study of it. Some focused on the stream of consciousness in The Snows of Kilimanjaro, some researched on the symbolizations of the work, and so on. However, in this paper, it clearly demonstrates in which way the two persons hold the different attitudes to love. And this study in three different parts discusses the main characters’ different views of love.
