Abstract:

Treasure Island tells of Jim Hawkin’s boyhood adventure on a quest for buried treasure. Jim is the main character of the novel. He met Bill in his father’s inn. Later, Bill died of apoplexy and Jim got a treasure map from his belongings. With the help of the Squire and Dr. Livesey, Jim went together with them to seek for the treasure. However, a group of pirates also joined in exploring the treasure. As a result, there were struggles between the good side and the evil side. Finally, Jim and his friends defeated the pirates and gained the treasure. This paper will analyze the goodness and the evilness in the human nature through the struggles between the two parties. The key differences between these two parties lie in the moral value, the attitude to their companions and their enemies and the ways to solve the problems. According to the ending, the paper will state the belief that the good will defeat the evil. The paper consists of four parts. The first part is an introduction, stating the author‘s life and his literary achievements. The second part is the main part of the paper, analyzing the characters and plots to observe the goodness and the evilness in human beings. The third part is a reflection on the problems of the current society caused by human greed and unkindness. The last part is the conclusion of the paper, where the significance of the story is summed up.

《金银岛》讲述的是少年吉姆为寻找被埋葬的宝藏的冒险之旅。 吉姆是小说的主要人物， 他在父亲的店里遇到了比尔。 没过多久， 比尔死于中风。比尔死后， 吉姆从他的遗物中得到了一张藏宝图。 在医生和乡绅的帮助下， 他们一起去寻宝。 想不到一伙正在觊觎这批宝藏的海盗也混入了这个探宝队, 于是正义的一方与邪恶的一方在荒岛上展开一场恶斗。 几经艰险， 吉姆和他的伙伴们终于打败了海盗， 成功取得宝藏。 本文通过两派人物之间的斗争来展示人性的善与恶， 分析正义与邪恶最大的不同在于道德立场， 对待同伴和敌人的态度， 处事方法和最终的结局。 通过结局，论文又阐述了善良最终将战胜邪恶的信念。 这篇论文由四部分构成， 第一部分描述的是作者的生平和他的文学成就。 第二部分是论文的主要部分， 通过分析人物和故事情节来剖析人性的善与恶。 第三部分是对一些由于人类的贪婪而造成的社会问题的反思。 最后一部分是论文的结论， 总结故事的重要意义。
