Abstract:

Agatha Christie is the most famous master of the detective novels among the literary world. She is also one of the greatest writers in Britain. She is the most widely published author, outsold only by the Bible and Shakespeare. Actually, on the appearance of detective novels, critics think that these novels are a kind of popular culture, and it therefore has its emphasis on how to please the readers. That’s when many people come to carry a research on it. Works of Agatha Christie are focused on many points, as the detective novel booms around the world and it becomes more and more popular among general readers. The detective novels are narrated in a tight way which are not the same as other novels. As the Queen of mystery fictions, Agatha Christie not only is successful in detective novels but also contributes well to the popular novels. Christie’s most famous detective is Murder on the orient Express which is a new form from normal style in many ways. In this paper, we will explore the characteristics of works of Agatha Christie from the figures, arrangement and psychology in Murder on the Orient Express. The methodology of analysis and contrast is used in this paper to analyze its artistic value and the artistic technique.

阿加莎·克里斯蒂是文学界最著名的推理小说作家，也是英国最伟大的之一，阿加莎·克里斯蒂著作数量之丰仅次于莎士比亚和圣经。事实上，在推理小说刚刚兴起的时期，批评家们认为推理小说属于流行文学，因此侧重于娱乐大众，然后，随着推理小说在世界上兴盛起来，并且拥有越来越多的读者。很多学者开始研究推理小说和关注克里斯蒂。侦探小说的叙述紧凑简洁，这使得侦探推理小说明显与其他文学作品有所不同。作为世界著名的侦探小说女皇，克里斯蒂不仅在侦探小说上取得巨大成就，同时也对流行小说做出重大贡献。她最著名的作品是《东方快车谋杀案》，因为它在某些地方是对创作模式的革新。通过对《东方快车谋杀案》的分析，从独特的布局、立体的人物形象及细腻的心理描写这三部分来探明阿加莎·克里斯蒂侦探小说的特色。论文使用分析和对比的艺术手法来解读克里斯蒂小说的艺术价值和写作技巧。

1.1 Achievements of Agatha Christie
    Agatha Christie must be the favorite author in the world and has the biggest amount of sales of her work, if we compare her with other detective fiction masters. Her works have been translated into 103 languages and published in more than 100 countries in the world. Her works have been sold over a billion copies in English, outsold only by the Bible and Shakespeare. She must be the most popular writer in any language all the time.
The drama The Mousetrap, adapted from her novel of the same name, popularized in the British stage for thirty years. It was opened in 1952 and is the longest-running play in history. In accordance with the survey in 1980s of the last century, she is voted as the world's best-selling author, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II is her loyal readers. Because of her outstanding achievement of detective fiction and international influence, in 1971, the queen of England awarded her the title of sir.
