Abstract

Wuthering Heights is the only novel of British writer Emily Bronte. It is regarded as one of the finest novels in the English literature. Some scholars have employed Marxism doctrines, feminism, religion, humanity and so on to carry out a deep research on Wuthering Heights. This paper examines and explores the protagonist’s contradiction, revenge and the real heart of recovery hidden in human nature. In addition, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the tragedy on Heathcliff in a series of events from different aspects.

摘要

《呼啸山庄》是英国小说家艾米莉·勃朗特唯一一部小说,也被评为英国文学史上经典小说之一。诸多学者曾从马克思主义，女性主义，宗教，人性等等方面做了深层次的研究。本文力图展现了主人公爱与恨的矛盾、复仇、诀别、以及隐藏在内心深处的人性复苏。然后通过这一系列的悲剧的分析，找出了希斯克厉夫悲剧命运的缘由。
