摘要

本文从生态伦理学角度深入探讨了玛丽•雪莱的《弗兰肯斯坦》中的主要人物的表现。论文首先介绍了生态伦理学这个概念以及在小说中的体现；之后分析了作者的写作背景和造成人类与自然关系失衡的原因；再提供了适当例子阐述错误的道德标准引起的不良后果。阐述我们应该理性地运用科学，达到人与自然的和谐的观点。最后，本文总结了人与自然的道德关系应保持和谐以及人类对自然的道德责任观对当今社会的参考价值。

Abstract

This thesis probes into the behavior of main characters in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein from the perspective of ecological ethics. It firstly discusses the definition of Ecological Ethics and its manifest in the novel. After that, the paper analyzes the background of writing Frankenstein and the reason of imbalance in the relationship between human and nature; then, it provides some examples to explain the terrible consequence of wrong moral standard between them. In the end, it concludes that the ethical relationship between human and nature should be in harmony and human’s ethical responsibility to nature is valuable to current society.
