摘要

《乞力马扎罗的雪》是美国作家欧内斯特·米勒尔·海明威（1899-1961）的一篇短篇小说。小说运用意识流和象征等艺术手法，刻画主人公哈里濒死之际内心的回忆与反思，塑造了一个充满矛盾的圆形人物，篇幅虽短，意蕴深厚，是海明威创作生涯中的经典作品之一。

源于语言学的结构主义理论已被广泛应用于文学批评领域，为分析和评价海明威的作品提供了一个新的视角。本论文运用结构主义文学批评理论中的二元对立批评方法，对《乞力马扎罗的雪》中所表现的三组二元对立元素进行分析与解读，深入探索作家海明威的小说人物形象刻画艺术，并得出结论：这三组二元对立项有助于塑造主人公矛盾的性格特点，有助于小说深层主题的表达，从而使人们更加了解海明威的写作风格及其作品的现实意义。
