摘要

语言作为文化的载体，是促进不同文化之间交流的桥梁。自中国改革开放以来，语言交际需要不断强调外语教学的重要性。然而在英语教学过程中，一味的照搬和植入西方文化成为英语学习的主流，长此以往，出现了英语学习者无法表达中国文化，在跨文化交流中难以准确传递中国文化信息的现象。本研究旨在进一步讨论高校英语教学中中国文化的传播存在的问题及原因，并从多方面、多因素提出看法和建议。研究显示，近些年中国文化在英语教学中得到了一定程度的重视，但是效果不佳，表现为英语学习者对中国文化输出往往心有余而力不足。其原因主要在于英语课程设置不完善，在英语教材中比重不大，考试模式单一；师资水平有限；英语学习环境仍以西方文化为主流。本研究提出完善英语教学模式，促进评估体系的完整性和连续性；提高教师自身的中国文化素养；提高英语学习者的实践性的方法以增强英语教学中中国文化的传播。
