On the Depiction of Imogen's Female Image in Cymbeline_英语论文

摘要

威廉·莎士比亚的晚期传奇剧《不列颠之王辛白林》在刻画女性外貌时使用了丰富的自然意象。主人公伊摩琴是剧中描写最多的女性形象，她是一个善良美丽并且勇敢、敢于追求自己爱情的女人。而和伊摩琴形成鲜明对比的王后却是一个伪善、狠毒、为了权利不择手段的反面角色。

本文从写作背景出发，分析自然意象下对于女性形象的描述。并且深入分析伊摩琴在文中的形象，同时与王后作对比，显示出伊摩琴既有符合传统审美的美德，同时也敢于挑战传统，勇于追求自己的爱情，不过最终在当时时代背景的影响下无法打破传统的边缘女性形象。
