摘要

林语堂在向西方读者传播中国文化和思想的过程中，译介了不少中国古典文学作品。沈复的文学作品《浮生六记》自林语堂先生将其翻译为英文以来，在海内外广为传诵，国内对该作品的英译研究也越来越多。此处将笔者搜集到的国内林语堂《浮生六记》英译本研究进行综述，探讨其研究现状以及存在的问题。并在此基础上，通过对林译《浮生六记》中文化负载词的研究，探讨等效翻译是否能完全实现。中西文化之间存在着明显的差异，不同的社会文化群体有着不同的文化模式，而文化负载词作为文化在词汇中的直接或间接反映，其翻译存在多种方法，但由于异质文化的独特性，实现完全对等是不现实的。其翻译总是可以无限接近原文，但与原文不完全相同。
