摘  要

随着深刻演变的国际形势和日益增多的全球性挑战,跨文化交流越来越频繁,中美的贸易合作关系迎来了新的历史机遇。本论文重点研究中美跨文化交际中商务谈判礼仪,首先介绍了课题的背景,意义及目标;继而探究国内外研究礼仪对商务谈判的影响;其次找出一些潜在的障碍和问题;最后重点分析中美在形象行为,时间空间,语言的使用以及价值观念的差异,并且通过真实的例子,比较探析,提出建议。通过本论文,希望读者首先能充分引起对商务谈判礼仪的重视;其次了解中美的形象和行为的差异,辨别时间和空间区别,能够正确使用习惯性语言,还能透彻熟识中美的价值观念;最后使双方充分了解彼此的谈判礼仪,创造一个轻松愉快的商务坏境,促进中美商务交往的和谐与成功。

Abstract

In the face of the profound changes in the international landscape and mounting global challenges, cross cultural communications become more and more frequently. China and the United States are now presented a new historic opportunity in the development of their trade cooperation. This paper will essentially focus on the Sino-US business negotiation etiquette in intercultural communication. First, it will introduce the background, significance and objectives of this paper. Second, it will study some data and researches about etiquette that influence on business negotiation from home and abroad. Third it will find some potential obstacles and major problems. Finally it will put more emphasis on the differences between China and America on appearance and behavior, time and space, the habit of using language and the view of value. And it will also introduce some real cases in our daily business contacts; they will be compared and analyzed in depth. It will also put forward some suggestions. Through this paper, first of all, everyone is expected to pay enough close attention to business negotiation, and then get to know the differences between images and behaviors, distinguish the time and the space concepts, have a good habit of using languages and familiar with the view of value between China and America. Finally, let both countries have full understandings of each other’s business etiquettes, create a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere and promote the harmony and success of China and the United State’s business contacts.

1.1 Background of the research
While the world is becoming smaller, the mushroom growth of international trade, improved technologies of communication and transportation and the tendency of globalization have great increased international contracts of their countries. Cultural exchange becomes more and more frequently, especially in commerce. Intercultural communication is becoming an essential part in our daily work.
