摘  要

英汉谚语来自于生活,种类繁多,历史悠长,并且含有丰富的文化信息。英语与汉语分别隶属于不同的语言体系,因此两者之间文化方面的差异导致了其谚语的丰富性和非对应性。在英汉谚语中有关颜色的表达词汇有许多,然而由于民族文化风俗、历史传统和宗教信仰等方面的差异,英汉两种语言的表达方式也很大的差别,词语用法也在许多方面出现各类非对应的现象,即使是同一颜色词汇在不同的语言中语义内涵也会有所不同,因此,谚语所表达的内在意义与表面含义也会大相径庭。本文从语义学角度出发,就英汉词汇的概念意义以及其文化内涵方面存在的差异所导致的英汉词义非对应关系进行探讨。

Abstract

Deeply rooted in daily life, both English and Chinese have large quantity, long history and rich cultural information. Belonging to two different language systems, the difference between English and Chinese is the main cause to the uniqueness and the non-correspondence of the idioms with cultural connotation. There are many idioms about color words in both two languages. Nevertheless, affected by the national culture and customs, religious beliefs and historical traditions, the usage of the color words with cultural connotation exist non-correspondence phenomenon in many aspects, even the semantic meaning of the same color word could be also different in those two languages. Therefore, the underlying meaning and surface meaning of the idioms are dramatically different. From the point of view of semantics, this thesis focuses on the differences between the conceptual meaning and cultural connotations caused by semantic non-correspondence of the color words in both Chinese and English.
