摘要

科幻小说是指在尊重科学结论的基础上进行合理设想而创作出的文学作品，是一种起源于近代西方的文学体裁。相比于蓬勃发展的西方科幻作品，中国科幻小说发展起步晚，长期处于文学边缘地带，且输入远远大于输出。2015-2016年，刘慈欣、郝景芳两位中国作家相继获得科幻文学大奖雨果奖，为中国科幻文学的输出开辟了道路，给中国当代文化的对外传播提供了新思路。

《北京折叠》是一篇地道的中国科幻小说，其中有许多中国特色表达，即文化负载词。其译者刘宇昆是最有影响的华裔科幻作家，作品曾多次获得雨果奖、星云奖和世界奇幻大奖。他翻译策略、手法和风格，值得国内翻译界学者研究、学习和借鉴。因此本文以目的论为理论框架，从物质文化负载词、社会文化负载词和语言文化负载词三个方面分析刘宇昆的翻译策略，并得出结论：译者在翻译过程中遵循了目的论三原则，以实现翻译目的为根本准则，采取翻灵活多变的翻译策略。译者在尽量保留原文中国文化特色的同时，也考虑到读者的文化背景和语言习惯，采用了增译，意译的方法，使译文更具可读性。
