20世纪60年代的女性主义第二次浪潮给社会各个领域带来了革命性的变化和影响，其后果之一便是女性主义学术研究的兴起。在翻译研究领域，女性主义译者强调译者的主体性，反对传统译论，旨在消除翻译实践中的性别歧视，将翻译变为女性传播声音和传递力量的新战场。本文主要研究女性主义翻译理论在翻译实践中的应用，并探讨该理论的意义和影响，以期引起各界对女性主义翻译的兴趣和关注。

本文从历史角度研究了女性主义翻译理论，包括其社会和政治渊源，及其理论来源。本文认为，女性主义翻译理论起源于女性主义运动，其三个理论来源分别为：解构主义理论，读者反应理论和新历史主义。此外，女性主义翻译理论遵循三个主要原则，包括消除性别歧视，重新定义译者与作者关系，以及强调译者主体性。最后，本文还研究了女性主义翻译理论在翻译实践中运用的实例。
