摘要 

本论文先对高低语境的概念进行一个界定，与此同时对高低语境文化的形成进行一个分析。人的语言能力到达了一定的水平时，在进行跨文化交际的时候，人与人之间的交流就会有一个障碍。交际与文化之间的关系十分紧密，中国和美国由于所处的文化背景不同，从而造成了两国交际模式上的差异。通过分析中美高低语境文化的不同，以及造成中美高低语境文化差异的因素，我们可以由此尝试解决中美国家或者是东西方国家间的跨文化交际中出现的常见的问题，促进各个国家之间的跨文化交际。
